VICTORIA SHARPE

Web Developer

Richmond, VA

Hello! My name is Victoria Sharpe and I am a Full Stack Web Developer with a background in education and video production. I attended Virginia Commonwealth University and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography and Film with a minor in General Business in 2015.

Alongside being in the video production field for the past seven years, I also fell in love with education. I taught science shows, camps, and workshops to elementary and middle-school aged students across Virginia, taught Photography and Film classes at Grace and Hope Academy in Petersburg, Virginia, tutored English and Math in Henrico and Richmond Public Schools, and currently teaching VCU's Department of Photography + Film's Summer Film Camp. In and out of the school year, I am also a freelance video editor, videographer, and photographer.

As a creative and entrepreneur, I have dipped my toes into the world of web development, but I didn’t fully dive in until 2019 when I acquired my coding certificate from University of Richmond for Full Stack Web Development. Because of my creative and educational background, I'm passionate about UI/UX design and Front-end development. Technical strengths include HTML, CSS/Bootstrap, Adobe Creative Suite, JavaScript/jQuery, Node.js, Express.js, React.js and intermediate knowledge in MySQL and MongoDB.

In my spare time, I enjoy watching movies, telling dad jokes, traveling, and playing D&D.
